Our history

The Oxford Literary Festival (OLF) was founded in 1997 and from small beginnings has grown in scale over ten years to one of international importance.  Bookfeast grew out of the Oxford Literary Festival initially responsible for its Education & Outreach work.  We became a separate charity in 2007, and an entirely separate organisation in 2010.

Now we’re out on our own, Bookfeast are keen to expand – we are constantly adding new schemes and projects to our portfolio and have identified a number of initiatives to enhance and develop our profile, expand our involvement in the Oxfordshire community and continue creating readers.

Bookfeast is a charity with the status of a company limited by guarantee.  As such any revenue we receive is devoted to meeting our objectives.
